A drum circle is a celebration of life, community, and spontaneous music-making. The session will be led by Karen Romano of Inner Rutz in Mt. Lebanon, who guides the group in rhythms and rhythm-based activities. Participants sit in a circle while playing drums and hand percussion to create a group rhythm. Bring your family, friends and neighbors and make some music!
No musical experience is needed! The group will learn how the proper technique to play hand drums and then off we’ll go to create rhythms, play games and make music together. The benefits of a drumming are more numerous than imagined but do include reducing stress, boosting the immune system, stimulating creativity, and having FUN!
