Donation Yoga for Meals on Wheels @ The Crossroads

  • Meals on Wheels @ The Crossroads 3909 Washington Road Suite 201 Canonsburg, PA, 15317 United States (map)

Earlier this month the kitchen at our local Meals on Wheels location was forced to purchase a new compressor for their 25 year old, industrial-sized freezer.  Total cost of the compressor with parts and labor was $4000. Please help us raise funds for this valuable community program to help offset the cost for the compressor.

Join Kate on Thursday March 9th at 6pm at Donaldson's Crossroads for an All Levels Gentle Yoga class. All donations will go to Meals on Wheels. Suggested donation is $25.

About Meals on Wheels:

Meals on Wheels @The Crossroads has been serving the community since 1974.  Our mission is to provide a hot, nutritious meal to anyone who has difficulty shopping for food, or cooking meals, regardless of income.  Our primary service is to senior citizens but we can assist others in special circumstances.  We deliver approximately 20,000 meals each year!

We provide a hot tray every weekday, with meat, vegetables, and a starch or fruit.  Hot soups, salads, sandwiches, a quart of milk, desserts, and cookies are provided on a regular schedule as well.

We deliver to McMurray, Venetia, Finleyville, Lawrence, Hendersonville, Canonsburg, Houston, Muse, and parts of Eighty Four, Bridgeville, South Fayette, Bethel Park and Upper St. Clair.  This mission is accomplished  by our cooks, Lisa Fair and Steve Soff, along with program manager Teresa Godfrey and over 150 dedicated volunteers who cook, serve, and deliver meals.

We receive NO local, state, or federal government funding.  Our meals are underwritten by donations.  All gifts are tax deductible.   Recently, our kitchen was forced to purchase a new compressor for our 25 year old, industrial-sized freezer.  Total cost of the compressor with parts and labor is $4000.    Your donations today will offset this major cost to our program!
